Pilates

Pilates is a low impact exercise method, that aims to strengthen the body evenly, through enhancing core stability, increasing mobility and improving flexibility.

Pilates was established in the early 20th center by Joseph Pilates, who believed physical and mental health were closely related. Joseph Pilates developed 'Contrology' which was later renamed Pilates, by following 6 key Principles.

  • Concentration

  • Control

  • Center

  • Flow

  • Precision

  • Breathing

These key principles are still followed in Modern Pilates allowing people of any age, gender and fitness level to benefit from ​Pilates

Franki is passionate about Pilates and it's widely applicable benefits, may it be promoting mobility after hip replacement surgery, improving flexibility to assist your squat technique or enabling stability when lifting objects around the house.
